MARSHALL, Mich. – The Calvin University women's golf team wrapped its first two-day tournament of the season on Saturday at The Medalist Golf Club.
The Knights entered the day in fifth place following an opening-round score of 330 and shot a team score of 331 on Saturday to finish the event with a total score of 661 to finish in fifth place.
Andrea Diemer (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian) led the way for Calvin with a Saturday score of 81, followed by rounds of 82 by
Elizabeth Lubowicki (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) and
Ava McConnon (Grand Rapids, Mich./NorthPointe Christian). Both Lubowicki and McConnon shaved three strokes off their opening-round totals of 85.
Lana Moore (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) matched her Friday's total of 82, while
Ashley Diovardi (Northville, Mich./Detroit Country Day) shot 89.
Diemer finished the event with a two-day total of 157, followed by Lubowicki and McConnon at 167. Moore shot 172, while Diovardi shot 173.
Playing as a wild card entrant,
Andrea Plantz (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) recorded a 97 on Saturday for a tournament-total of 186.
Trine University took first place with 627 total strokes, followed by Adrian College (628) and Albion College (632) in the top three.

NEXT UP: Calvin women's golf will return to action on Friday, September 11, when it begins the two-day Heidelberg Invitational at 12:00 PM. Saturday's second round will start at 9:00 AM.
