MARSHALL, Mich. - Today the Calvin women's golf team participated in the first MIAA Jamboree of the season where they finished in seventh place. 
 
The Knights posted a team score of 341 while Adrian claimed the top spot with a score of 318 and Albion took second with a score of 325. Hope rounded out the top three when they finished with a team score of 326.
 
Senior Andrea Diemer (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian) continues to be a steady presence for the Knights as she led the pack in eleventh place with a score of 81. Sophomore Ava McConnon (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian) and freshman Ashley Diovardi (Northville, Mich./Detroit Country Day) both finished with a score of 85 while freshman Lana Moore (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) rounded out the scoring for Calvin when she shot a 90.
 
Sophomore Elizabeth Lubowicki (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) also participated in the field and wrapped up her round with a score of 92. Freshman Andrea Plantz (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) competed in the field as an independent and also posted a final score of 92. 

COACHES COMMENTS: "Conference play started with a disappointing round that didn't meet our own expectations," said head coach Jerry Bergsma. "We have a long way to go in the conference schedule so we're motivated and to get back to work and prepare for the next conference round."
 
UP NEXT: The Knights will be back in action on Tuesday, September 22nd when they compete at the second MIAA Jamboree of the year in Saugatuck, Mich. at 1PM.
