FOSTORIA, Ohio - Today the Calvin women's golf team rounded out the weekend at the Heidelberg Fall Invite where they finished in fourth place with a team score of 645.
 
Ohio Northern claimed the top two spots with scores of 613 and 639 while Mount Union claimed third place with a team score of 642.
 
Senior Andrea Diemer (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian) had herself a day on the course as she moved into eighth place after posting a second-round score of 78. Freshman Lana Moore (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) jumped two spots and finished tied for ninth after recording a score of 79 while fellow freshman Ashley Diovardi (Northville, Mich./Detroit Country Day) improved five spots and moved into fifteenth thanks to a second-round score of 79.
 
Elizabeth Lubowicki (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) rounded out the scoring for the Knights when she finished day two with a score of 86. Sophomore Ava McConnon (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian) was also in the field and posted a score of 86 while freshman Andrea Plantz (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) finished with a score of 84 while playing as an independent.
 
COACHES COMMENTS: "We were able to put up some solid performances with the conditions we had today," said head coach Jerry Bergsma. "Ashley and Andrea P. were able to have their collegiate lows today to help contribute to a good team finish."
 
UP NEXT: The Knights will be back in action on Monday, September 14th when they compete in the first MIAA Jamboree of the year at 11 AM in Marshall, Michigan.
