For the third consecutive year, Calvin's Sophie Bull has been named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American.

A native of Denver, Colorado, Bull has been named a 2026 First Team CSC Academic All-American in the Division III women's cross country/track and field division. A graduate of Denver Christian High School, Bull was a 2025 CSC First Team Academic All-American and a CSC Third Team Academic All-American in 2024.

Bull becomes the 10^th individual in Calvin history to earn CSC Academic All-America honors three consecutive years and the first since former teammate Jenna Allman did some from 2023-2025.

This past May, Bull concluded a legendary distance running career at Calvin this spring.

She has been a nine-time NCAA Division III All-American between her cross country and track and field careers, earning All-America honors twice in cross country and seven times in track and field. She has been a three-time individual national champion in track and field, winning the 3,000 meter steeplechase twice and the 3,000 meters (indoors) once. She received USTFCCCA All-Region honors for both indoor and outdoor track and field.

Her senior year of 2025-26 was particularly memorable as she placed fifth individually at the NCAA III Cross Country Championships in November, won the 3,000 meter national title at the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships in March and then repeated as a national champion in the steeplechase at the NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in May while adding a fifth place (All-American) finish in the 5,000 meter run. Her winning time in the steeplechase of 10:04.18 is the second-fastest time in NCAA III women's track and field history.

She set an indoor school record in the 3,000 meters (9:32.19) and then set outdoor school records in the 5,000 meters (16:29.62) and steeplechase (10:04.18). In addition, she set MIAA outdoor records in the steeplechase (10:39.05) and 5,000 meters (17:01.50).

In May, she was named the recipient of Calvin's Kay Tiemersma Award – given annually to the top senior female student-athlete at Calvin.

Bull graduated from Calvin with a kinesiology major with an emphasis on a pre-physician's assistant coursework. She graduated from Calvin with a 3.98 grade point average.

Bull will be taking a gap year before attending graduate school to become a physician's assistant. She has been an eight-time member of the Calvin Dean's List and will be a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. She has also received USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in both cross country and track and field throughout her four-year Calvin career.

Bull's CSC Academic All-America award gives Calvin 170 total CSC Academic All-America citations in the history of the award, which ranks ninth among all NCAA III schools.
