ADRIAN, Mich.- The Calvin ACHA D3 hockey team defeated the D2 Adrian College, 5-0 on the road.

Calvin ends the regular season with a record of 16-3-1, and ranked 3rd in the country.

Calvin scored its 1st goal of the game 7 minutes into the opening period. Harry Ottsen scored from Gabriel Sova. Zach Westrick added to the Calvin lead with 10:14 to play in the period from Nathan Sova, and Myles Radersma.

Calvin scored a single goal in the 2nd period with a score from Myles Radersma, and an assist from Ian Schweigert. Nathan Sova scored 4 minutes into the 3rd period on a solo power play goal. Zach Westrick scored Calvin's final goal of the period and his 2nd of the game off the pass from Nathan Sova.

COACHES COMMENT: Head Coach Austin Huizenga, "Really happy with the way we played tonight. We played good complimentary hockey. This Adrian team is exactly the test we needed heading into postseason play. They're fast, physical and smart and we'll have to match that over our next handful of games. We'll turn our attention to the MCHC Tournament the next couple of weekends and look to continue this run of play."

NEXT UP: Calvin will begin the MCHC Tournament on Saturday February 21st at 2:30 p.m.The tournament will be at Patterson Ice Center.
