Calvin's Sophie Bull Featured in USTFCCCA Story on Star Seniors

Calvin University senior runner Sophie Bull is off to a strong start to her final season with the women's cross country team and was featured in a story by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) titled "The Grand Finale: Star Seniors Reflect Ahead of Their Last Cross Country Season" on Thursday.

Bull (Denver, Colo./Denver Christian) was one of six seniors featured in the story across NCAA I, II and III talking about their collegiate journeys and their final seasons running cross country.

An NCAA III All-American in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field and field as a junior, Bull finished 28th at least year's NCAA III Cross Country Championships and went on to win a national championship in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase at the NCAA III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. So far this season, Bull earned MIAA Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after winning the Diemer Classic and then finished fourth at the George Dales Invite hosted by Western Michigan University while running against seven NCAA I programs.

The Grand Finale: Star Seniors Reflect Ahead of Their Last Cross Country Season

The Calvin women's cross country team is currently ranked 24th in the nation in this week's USTFCCCA Top 30 Poll. The Knights will return to action on Saturday, October 4, when they host the Knight Invite at Gainey Athletic Complex.
