Calvin Women's Track and Field Lands Five on CSC Academic All-District Team

Five members of the Calvin women's track and field and cross country program have received College Sports Communications Academic All-District honors. In order to receive all-district accolades, individuals must have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or above and posted a top-50 regional finish in either cross country or track and field. Individuals also must be sophomores or above in academic standing.
 
Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team from Calvin are juniors Sophie Bull and RyAnn Rohrer, seniors Bella Charron and Natalie Tebben, and graduate student Jenna Allman.
 
Furthermore, Bull, Tebben, and Allman have also been selected to the national ballot and are now eligible for the CSC Academic All-America consideration.
 
Sophie Bull (Denver, Colo./Denver Christian)
 
Bull is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive year after having a stand out junior year. In cross country this fall, Allman earned All-MIAA First Team honors after placing third in the Great Lakes Regional. She continued her year by nabbing a second place regional rank and seventeenth national rank in the indoor 5K with a time 17:00.79 before having a third place regional rank in the outdoor 5K with a time of 16:46.86. However, the highlight of Bull's season came when she was named a National Champion in the outdoor steeplechase after finishing with a time of 10:11.73.
 
Bull is a kinesiology major who holds a 3.97 cumulative GPA and has been a six-time member of the Calvin Dean's List. She was also named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic selection in cross country this fall.
 
RyAnn Rohrer (Ludington, Mich./Ludington)
 
After a standout junior season Rohrer is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in her career. During the indoor season she placed seventeenth regionally in the shot put before jumping up to an eleventh place regional ranking in the outdoor shot put. Rohrer was also named to the All-MIAA Second Team after nabbing a second place finish at the MIAA Championships this spring.
 
Rohrer is an environmental studies major and currently holds a 3.69 cumulative GPA.
 
Natalie Tebben (Lansing, Mich./Lansing Christian)
 
Tebben is coming off a highly productive senior season and is earning CSC Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive year. In cross country last fall, Tebben finished in thirteenth at the Great Lakes Regional meet and earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. During the indoor track season she ranked regionally in the 800 meters, mile run and 3,000 meters before receiving regional recognition in the 800 meters, 1,500 meters, and 5K during outdoor season. Tebben also gave the Knights a boost when she earned an All-MIAA Second Team nod in the 800 meter.
 
Tebben is a speech pathology major and has a cumulative GPA of 3.94.
 
Bella Charron (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton)
 
Charron is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season. She earned regional recognition in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault, ranking sixteenth in the winter and fourteenth in the spring. During the MIAA Championships this spring Charron gave Calvin a boost as she finished in fourth place with a height of 10'10".
 
Charron posted a 3.74 cumulative GPA while majoring in speech pathology. 
 
Jenna Allman (Ann Arbor, Mich./Saline)
 
Allman is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the third consecutive year after showing out in her graduate season. During the fall, Allman finished thirty-third at the Great Lakes Regional and was one of five Knights to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. During the indoor track season, Allman excelled in the mile run and the 3K as she ranked regionally in both. Later this spring, she continued to compete in distance events such as the 1,500 and the 5K where she finished fourth in the region. During the MIAA Championships, Allman nabbed a first place finish in the 5,000 meters to earn a spot on the All-MIAA First Team while earning All-MIAA Second Team honors in the steeplechase.
 
Allman is a sociology/psychology major and holds a 3.91 cumulative GPA.
