ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Calvin ACHA D3 hockey team finished off pool play with a 3-0 win over Sacred Heart University Saturday afternoon at the ACHA D3 National Tournament.
The Knights advance to the national semifinals next Monday morning to face either Grand Valley State or Florida Gulf Coast at 10:15 a.m. (CST) in St. Louis, Missouri.

In the third period, sophomore
Brock Hearth scored a pair of goals to seal the win for the Knights. His first goal came off an assist from freshman
Sergey Yakunin just 2:57 into the third with his second goal coming off assists from senior
Keigan Oberski and senior
Nathan Rublein 9:52 into the final period.
Calvin held a 39-23 shots at goal advantage.
Sophomore
Ryan Worosz stopped all 23 shots he faced in the Calvin goal to gain the shutout win.
COACHES COMMENT: "Really good game from our guys," said Calvin head coach Austin Huizenga. "Credit to SHU. They played a good hard game. I'm happy with how our guys played and happy with what they accomplished in pool play. Now we look forward to the semifinal game on Monday morning."
