GRAND RAPIDS Mich.-The Calvin ACHA D3 men's hockey team defeated Davenport University 7-1, on the road. The Knights are now 16-7-1 on the year.

Calvin's
Sergey Yakunin, scored 12:08 into the 1st period, off an assist from
Henry Holleman. Davenport was able to equalize with just under two minutes left in the period. Alex Brown scored from Alex Reitzel and Reece Robertson. Calvin had 21 shots on goal in the 1st period to the six of Davenport.

Just 5:14 into the 2nd period,
Owen Duiker put Calvin back on top 2-1 off assists from Chris Bebelos and
Harry Ottsen. Duiker scored his 2nd goal of the period 11:06 in.
Keigan Oberski assisted. Calvin dominated the scoring opportunities again in the 2nd period with 20 shots on goal to Davenports 4.Â

Calvin scored 4 goals in the 3rd period despite putting up its lowest shot volume of the game.
Joe Lugge scored the 1st goal of the period unassisted 2:17 in.
Owen Duiker completed his hat trick with under 10 minutes remaining in the game. He was assisted by
Harry Ottsen and Chris Bebelos.
Harry Ottsen scored Calvins 6th goal of the game at the 17:17 minute mark in the 3rd period.
Josiah Lambers and
Joe Lugge assisted.
Joe Lugge scored his 2nd goal of the game with 53 seconds left, off an assist from
Brock Hearth. Calvin had 16 shots on goal while Davenport had 7.Â

COACHES COMMENT: Head Coach Austin Huizenga-"We played well tonight. Our guys battled for 60 minutes and we were happy to come out with a victory. We are looking forward to celebrating our seniors tomorrow in the regular season finale."
