GRAND RAPIDS Mich.- The Calvin ACHA Division 1 men's hockey team fell 3-1 against the 2
nd-ranked Adrian College Bulldogs Saturday evening at home. The Knights are now 18-7-1 on the year.
Adrian scored the first goal of the game with 7:56 remaining in the 1st period. Adrian's Blake Wideman scored, from Jordan Comilla. Adrian had 15 shots on goal in the 1st period while Calvin had 9.
The 2nd period had a very similar outcome. Adrian scored its 2nd goal of the game with 6:06 left in the period to go up 2-0 on the Knights. Cameron Armstrong scored for Adrian while Blake Wideman and David Dell assisted. Adrian had 14 shots on goal while the Knights shot the same amount on goal as in the 1st period with 9.
Calvin finally got on the scoreboard just past 2 minutes into the final period to give themselves a chance.

Ayden Adamic to bring the game within a goal. Calvin played an aggressive 3rd period putting up 12 shots on goal to Adrians 11, but the push was not enough. Adrian scored on an empty-net goal with 34 seconds left to seal the game.

Mike Petrusma-" We played a good game against a very good Adrian team. We paid attention to the details of the game and gave ourselves a chance to pull out a win. We have a lot of positive building blocks to take from this game for the rest of our season."
NEXT UP: Calvin plays Davenport University on Friday, February 2
nd, at 8:30 P.M. The game will be home for Calvin in Grand Rapids at Eagles Ice Center.
