HOLLAND, Mich. – The Calvin ACHA D3 hockey team fell to Grand Valley State in the MCHC quarterfinals 6-1 Saturday night.

th nationally, Calvin (16-11-0) took a 1-0 lead on a first period goal by freshman
Drew Klomparens.
Fighting fatigue, Calvin fell behind 3-1 after two periods and ultimately gave up three more goals in the third and final period of play.

Liam Austin was in net for Calvin.
Grand Valley entered the game ranked seventh nationally. All 11 of Calvin's defeats this year came against top-seven ranked teams.
The Knights now await a potential ACHA D3 nationals bids with the tournament field set to be announced later this week.
