GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The Calvin ACHA D3 men's hockey team defeated Ferris State University 4-1 on Saturday night at home. Calvin completed the weekend sweep of Ferris and is now 11-5.

Myles Radersma scored the only goal of the first period just 37 seconds in. He was assisted by
Sergey Yakunin to put the Knights up 1-0. Calvin had 9 shots on goal in the 1st while Ferris had 5.

Calvin lit up the Ferris defense in the 2nd period taking 19 shots on goal. However, the Bulldogs got on the board first in the 2nd period. Trevor VanVliet scored from Brennan Karn 6 minutes into the period. The Ferris defense cracked 12 minutes into the 2nd period when
Josiah Harsh scored for the Knights from Zach Seaman and
Trevor Rublein.
Brock Hearth put Calvin up 3-1 with a goal 16:38 into the period from
Joe Lugge.

With under 3 minutes remaining in the game
Harry Ottsen scored to give Calvin a 3-goal lead. Chris Bebelos assisted. Calvin outshot Ferris 43-20 and only let up one goal on a power play in the 2nd period.

NEXT UP: Calvin takes on Arizona State University on Saturday, December 9 at 1:30 P.M. The Game will be home for the Knights at Eagles ice Arena in Grand Rapids Michigan.
