HOLLAND Mich.- The 12
th-ranked Calvin University ACHA men's D3 hockey team Defeated the 5
th-ranked Hope College 3-2 on Saturday night November 18th. The victory snapped a six-game losing streak against Hope for the Knights. The game was held at Griff's Icehouse West.

Myles Radersma scored for the Knights unassisted two minutes into the matchup, but Hope's Jake Onstott scored just two minutes later to equalize for the Dutch in the 1st period.
Garrett Walker was in net for Calvin and Maclane Schick was in net for Hope.

Chris Bebelos scored just 10 seconds into the 2nd period to put Calvin back up a goal from
Owen Duiker and
Harry Ottsen. Hope's Brady Breit was able to tie the game back up with 15:05 left in the 2nd period from Luke McKinch.

Freshman
Sergey Yakunin came up big for the Knights in the 3rd period. Yakunin gained space just past the blue line and cut towards the middle of the ice. He launched it from distance while the keeper's view was blocked by defenders. The puck glanced off a Hope defenseman and found the back of the net with 4:41 left in the game.
Keigan Oberski assisted. Hope pulled its goalie with over a minute left but the Knight defense made a strong stand and withstood the onslaught of the Hope offense. The Knights won 3-2 and split the double header with Hope.

COACHES COMMENT: Head Coach Austin Huizenga-"Really proud of our guys for how they played. It's never easy to go on the road and beat Hope. They're a good team. We had a good bounce back after Friday night."

NEXT UP: Calvin plays Ferris State University on Friday December 1st at 7 P.M. The game will be at Ferris, in Big Rapids, Michigan.
