th-ranked Calvin Knights picked up a key 2-0 victory over 14
th-ranked Grand Valley Wednesday night at Eagles Ice Arena.
The two league rivals were scoreless after one period of play but Calvin grabbed a 1-0 lead on a second period goal by freshman

The third period featured a tense defensive battle but freshman
Adam Yost was up to the task, turning aside 38 Grand Valley shots.
Calvin got the clinching goal on an empty net score by
Joel Fonovic in the closing seconds.

Mike Petrusma. "We are trending in the right direction. A recommitment to the defensive side of the game is getting better each and every game. Now we will prepare for Eastern this Saturday."
