TOLEDO Ohio.- The Calvin ACHA division 1 men's hockey team won 7-4 on the road against the University of Toledo on Saturday, November 11. The Knights are now 12-4 overall.

The game got off to a slow start, but picked up later in the 1st period.
Joel Fonovic scored the first goal of the game for the Knights with 9:14 left in the 1st period. He was assisted by
Krzysztof Petryla and
Steven Ickes. Toledo scored 2 back-to-back goals to take the lead. Trevor Stokes scored with 5:10 left in the 1st and Riley Nadeau scored with just over a minute left.
Krzysztof Petryla was able to equalize for the Knights with just 44 seconds left in the period from
Steven Ickes. The period ended knotted up at 2 goals apiece.

The 2nd period also started slow. Dakota Keaton scored for the Rockets with 12:28 left in the period from Nate Kniesdeadt and Chris Riddick.
Krzysztof Petryla was able to score his 2nd and 3rd goals of the game with 1:20 and 1:05 left in the period to put the knights back on top 4-3.
Steven Ickes assisted his 2nd goal and
Joel Fonovic assisted his 3rd.

Petryla scored his 4th straight goal 5 minutes into the 3rd period off another assist from
Steven Ickes to give the Knights a 2-goal lead. Toledo's Jack Forynski was able to bring the game back within a goal when he scored with 10:05 left in the game off the stick of Jack Ludwig.
Ethan Pool increased Calvin's lead back to 2 goals, with 4:45 remaining, with assists from
Jacob Siebenga and
Kyle VanDusen. Siebenga scored with 1:50 left in the game from
Krzysztof Petryla to cap off a 7-4 Knights victory.
