SAUGATUCK, Mich. - The Calvin women's golf team lost the DAP Cup event to Hope College on Saturday at Clearbrook Golf Course.
The event features match play between the two teams, which Hope won by the score of 5.5 to 2.5.
Chandler Sjoerdsma (Riverside, Calif./Martin Luther King) won her number-one singles match by the score of "1 up" for one of the Knights' points, while
Jericha Scharphorn (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville) scored another in the number-four match by the final of "2 up".
Kayla Adkins contributed a half point to the cause in number-two singles with a tie.

Jerry Bergsma said. "We are honored to be part of this celebration of her life. We had a number of close and exciting matches topped off by Jericah Scharphorn chipping in from 30 yards to seal her match win."
NEXT UP: Calvin women's golf will return to action on Wednesday, September 21, when it plays in another MIAA Jamboree event at Tecumseh Golf Course.
