The Calvin ACHA D1 hockey team is preparing for a pivotal weekend series against Indiana Tech this Friday and Saturday at Eagles Ice Center.
Ranked eighth nationally, Calvin will enter the game with an overall record of 13-0-2. Ranked ninth nationally, Indiana Tech will come in at 14-2-0 overall.
Friday's game at Eagles Ice Center is set for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop with faceoff on Saturday set for 4:30 p.m.
The weekend set will play a key role in national ranking position and potential ACHA D1 Tournament seeding.
According to Calvin head coach
Mike Petrusma, the Knights are looking forward to the challenge.
"We are looking forward to the challenge of playing Indiana Tech this weekend," said Petrusma. "They are annually a top 10 team in the country. This will be a tremendous opportunity for our team and program. It should make for two exciting games for fans to watch."
Saturday's contest at 4:30 p.m. will be part of a doubleheader as Calvin's ACHA D3 hockey program will skate against Ferris State in the game to follow at 7:30 p.m
