GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Calvin fell to 18^th-ranked Grand Valley State 3-0 Saturday night at Eagles Ice Center.

The Knights dip to 6-4-0 with the loss.

Calvin battled the Lakers to a 0-0 draw through one period of play but Grand Valley pushed across a goal midway through the second period to take a 1-0 lead.

Grand Valley State later made it 2-0 with eight minutes left in the second period. Calvin had a chance to slice the deficit in half but a penalty shot by the Knights was denied in the closing minutes of the period.

Grand Valley State later added an insurance goal late in the third period as the Knights were unable to put the puck in the back of the Laker net.
