GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Calvin ACHA Division 3 mens hockey team lost 8-0 to Lawrence Tech University on Friday night. 

The first period was tightly contested. Lawrence Tech recorded the only goal of the period.

The second period saw the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils open the game up, scoring two goals. They continued to hold the Calvin Knights scoreless. Score of the game after the second period was 3-0.

In the third period the Knights plagued by penalties, and the Blue Devils took advantage. The Blue Devils scored three power-play goals on a 5 minute boarding penalty, and also tacked on two more goals. The score at the end of the game read 8-0 in favor of the Blue Devils.

Calvin then dropped a 7-1 decision to Lawrence Tech Saturday afternoon in the return meeting in Grand Rapids at Eagles Ice Center.

The Knights are now 2-2-0 on the season.
