GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Calvin completed the weekend sweep of Oakland, defeating the Golden Grizzlies 13-1 less than 24 hours after a 10-0 win at Oakland the night before.

Ranked 19^th nationally, Calvin improves to 8-0-2 overall including 3-0-1 in the GLCHL.

Calvin led 6-1 after one period of play, 12-1 after two periods of play and added an additional goal in the final period.

Senior Jacob Siebenga led the way with a hat-trick performance while junior Maverick Baxtrom and freshman Lou Vesperini had two goals apiece.

Scoring single goals for Calvin were Keith Schenkel, Charles Riordan, Ian Elkins, Kyle VanDusen, Krzysztof Petryla and Joshua Ernst.

Garrett Walker picked up the shutout in goal for the Knights.

COACHES COMMENT: "We completed the sweep of Oakland which is great," said Calvin head hockey coach Mike Petrusma. "It's four league points. We look forward to playing our next league opponent Roosevelt next weekend."

NEXT UP: Calvin will host Roosevelt next weekend for a pair of weekend conference games at Eagles Ice Center with its Friday game scheduled for 8 p.m. and its Saturday matchup at 5 p.m.
