The Calvin University Knights ACHA D3 Hockey Team defeated the Davenport University Panthers 3-1 on Saturday night.

In the first period the Knights got on the board first with a goal from Nathan Rublein with the assists from Avery Anderson and Trevor Rublein. 

The Knights extended their lead in the second period to two goals with a goal from Sam Boelema with the assist from Ethan Tulp. 

The Knights capped off a three goal unanswered run in the third with a goal from Tanner Dey with the assist from Keegan Oberski. 

Late in the third period the Knights gave up their only goal of the contest. 

At the end of regulation the Knights came out on top over the Panthers 3-1. 

Knights Goaltender Cody Rhodes had a strong game with 19 saves. 

COACH HARTLEIN: "The Knights continued to roll against the Panthers of Davenport with a 3-1 win, they outshot the Panthers 35-20. They are 3-0-1 in their last four and completed the weekend sweep. The boys executed the game plan with precision, they played well as a unit of five and played disciplined hockey."

The Knights are back in action Friday, Febuary 4th as they travel to take on the Spartans of MSU at 7:00PM.
