The Calvin University Knights ACHA D3 Hockey Team defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs 4-3 on Wednesday night.

In the first period the Bulldogs opened the scoring about halfway through the frame and put the Knights on the back foot early. About six minutes later the Knights got the goal back with the equalizer from Zach Seaman with the assist from Keegan Oberski. Just a minute later the Knights took the lead with a goal from Oberski with the helper coming from Tanner Dey. 

At the end of the first period the Knights found themselves ahead of the Bulldogs 2-1. The Knigths outshot the Bulldogs 17-6. 

In the second period the Knights found the back of the net early with a goal from Ethan Tulp. The Knights defense were put on the back foot for the rest of the period and unfortunately could not keep the Bulldogs off the scoreboard. The Bulldogs added another tally late in the frame to tie the game at 3-3. 

After the second period the Knights were ahead of the Bulldogs 3-3. The Knights were outshot 17-12. 

In the third period the Knights took control in the first half of the period and were rewarded with about ten minutes to go. The go ahead goal for the Knights came from Oberski with the assist from Dey. The Knights defense held the Bulldogs at bay for the rest of the frame to seal the deal. 

At the end of regulation the Knights came out victorious over the Bulldogs 4-3. 

Knights Goaltender Garrett Walker had a strong game with 31 saves on the night. 

The Knights return to action Saturday, January 22nd as they travel to Adrian College to take on the Bulldogs once again at 7:30PM.
