The Calvin University Knights ACHA D3 Hockey Team fell to the Grand Valley State University Lakers 8-1 on Saturday night.

In the first period the Lakers really took the game to the Knights. The Lakers tallied six goals and the Knights failed to find one.

At the end of the first period the Lakers were leading the Knights 6-0. The Knights got outshot 22-4.

In the second period the Lakers added an additional goal to their total to make it 7-0. 

At the end of the second period the Knights were down 7-0. The Knights got outshot 15-2.

In the third period the Knights got on the board with a goal from Zach Seaman with the assists from Keegan Oberski and Josh Wells. With two minutes left to go in the frame the Lakers tallied one more goal to finish off the Knights. 

At the end of regulation the Lakers came out on top with 8-1 victory over the Knights. Final shots were, Calvin:11 GVSU: 46

Knights Goaltenders Garrett Walker and Grant Salanty had a combined save total of 38 for the game.
