The Calvin University Knights ACHA D1 Hockey Team defeated the Toledo University Rockets 2-1 on Saturday night.
The game was a hard fought battle between both teams. Both teams had fantastic scoring opportunities on both ends of the ice.
The Rockets opened the scoring midway throught second period and really put the pressure on the Knights.
The Knights were down 1-0 till they tied the game with a goal from Michael Fatta with the assist from Chris Bebelos.
The Knights took the lead with a goal from Josh Ernst in the third period which turned out to be the game winner.
In the end the Knights came out on top of the Rockets 2-1.
Knights Goaltender Liam Austin had a strong game with 26 saves.
COACH PETRUSMA: "We definitely tightended up defensively and that was the best defesively structured game we've played all season for 60 minutes. That contributed to our victory tonight and this game was a great bounce back win on the road for our team."
The Knights return to action Friday, December 3rd as they host the GR Charity Classic.
