The Calvin University Knights ACHA D1 Hockey Team fell to the Davenport University Panthers 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

In the first period the Panthers came out strong pushing the attack early on the Knights defense. Five minutes into the period the Panthers found the back of the net to take an early 1-0 lead. The Knights fought back hard for the rest of the period but were shut down by the Panthers defense. With about three minutes to go in the period the Panthers found the back of the net once again to take a two goal lead.

The first period concluded with the Knights trailing the Panthers 2-0. 

In the second period the Knights came out strong as they got a goal from Jacob Siebenga just eighteen seconds in. Three minutes later the Panthers answered back with another goal to regain their two goal lead. The rest of the period both teams went end to end with strong chances, but neither team could put another tally on the board. 

The second period concluded with the Panthers leading the Knights 3-1. 

In the third period the Knights came out strong pushing the attack, but were shut down by the Panthers defense once again. With about three minutes to go the Panthers sealed the game with another goal to take a three goal lead.

The game concluded with the Panthers coming out victorious over the Knights 4-1. 

Knights Goaltender Darin Fox had a good game with 24 saves.
