The Calvin University Knights ACHA D1 Hockey Team fell to the Adrian College Bulldogs 7-1 on Friday night.

In the first period both teams went back and forth with strong chances in front of goal, but neither team could find the back of the net. Although the Knights were out shot in the first period 13 to 5 the Knights defense kept the Bulldogs off the board. 

The first period concluded with the game tied 0-0. 

In the second period the Bulldogs opened the scoring with a goal just four minutes into the second frame. About ten minutes later the Bulldogs found the back of the net again to take a 2-0 lead. A few minutes later the Knights recieved a penalty shot chance in which Jacob Siebenga capitalized on and brought the Knights within one goal. Then with about thirty seconds left to go in the period the Bulldogs found the back of the net once again and brought their lead back to two goals. 

The second period concluded with the Knights trailing the Bulldogs 3-1. 

In the third period the Bulldogs took control and tallied four unanswered goals on the Knights. 

The game concluded with the Bulldogs coming out on top 7-1. 

Knights Goaltender Darin Fox finished the game with 48 saves. 

The Knights return to action February 7th as they host the Western Michigan Broncos at Eagles Ice Center. Game time is set for 8:10PM.
