The Calvin University Knights ACHA D1 Hockey Team fell to the Adrian College Bulldogs 9-0 on Thursday night.

In the first period the Bulldogs came out fast and strong, but it was the Knights who held off the Bulldogs offensive pressure for most of the period. At about the five minute mark the Bulldogs found the back of the net on the powerplay to give them the 1-0 lead. Two minutes later the Bulldogs extended their lead to 2-0. The Knights pushed back strong but could not find the back of the net. 

The first period concluded with the Bulldogs leading the Knights 2-0. 

In the second period the Bulldogs really took control of the game. The Bulldogs went on to score six unanswered goals on the Knights, all of which came on even strength. 

The second period concluded with the Bulldogs leading the Knights 8-0. 

In the third period the Bulldogs tallied one more unanswered goal. The Knights once again tried to fight their way back into the game, but could not find a way through the Bulldogs defense. 

The game concluded with the Bulldogs coming out with the victory over the Knights 9-0. 

Knights Goaltenders Darin Fox and Josh Gruene combined for 62 saves on the night.
