The Calvin University Knights ACHA D1 Hockey Team defeated the Toledo University Rockets 10-1 on Friday night.

In the first period the Knights came out strong and quickly found the back of the net just four minutes in. The goal came from Sam Dexter with the assist from Brandon VanOphem. The Knights kept up the pressure and found the back of the net again with about six minutes to go in the period. The goal came from Cal Erdmann with the assists from Josh Hartlein and Justin Davis. With about a minute to go in the period the Knights extended their lead with a goal from Christian Gums with the assists from Graham Kormash and Declan Curtis. 

The first period concluded with the Knights leading the Rockets 3-0. 

In the second period the Rockets got back in the game scoring just three minutes into the frame. The Knights responded four minutes later with a goal from Garrett Pitter with the helper from Tanner Dey. The Knights once again added to their lead with a goal from Ethan Bock with about four minutes to go in the period. Two minutes later the Knights found the back of the net again with a goal from Jared Virtanen with the assists from Austin Huizenga and Jacob Siebenga. 

The second period concluded with the Knights leading 6-1. 

In the third period the Knights began to run away with the game. Just two minutes in the Knights got a goal from Riley Robertson with the helpers from Kormash and Siebenga. Three minutes Virtanen found the back of the net for his second goal of the night. The assist came from Siebenga for his third of the night. Three minutes later the Knights buried another goal, this time from Kormash with the helper from Gums. The Knights finished off the game with a goal around the five minute mark. The goal came from Virtanen for his third goal of the night and the assist came from Siebenga for his fourth of the night. 

The game concluded with the Knights rolling past the Rockets 10-1. 

Knights Goaltender Darin Fox finished the game with 25 saves.
