The Calvin University Knights ACHA D1 Hockey Team defeated the Cleary University Cougars 4-1 on Friday night. 

In the first period the Knights came out strong, scoring the first goal of the contest just five minutes in. The goal came from Garrett Pitter with the assists from Justin Davis and Harmen Vining. About a minute later the Knights got on the board again, this time the goal came from Graham Kormash with the assist from Cal Erdmann. With about four minutes to go in the period the Knights added more to their lead with a goal from Will Housekamp with the assists from Josh Hartlein and Jacob Siebenga. Finally, with about two minutes to go in the period the Cougars got on the board. 

The first period concluded with the Knights leading the Cougars 3-1. 

In the second period the Knights added one more tally to their lead with a goal from Siebenga with the assist from Jared Virtanen. 

The second period concluded with the Knights leading 4-1. 

In the third period both teams went back and forth with good chances in front of goal but neither team could find the back of the net. 

The game concluded with the Knights coming out victorious over the Cougars 4-1. 

Knights Goaltender Darin Fox had a strong game with 23 saves on the night.
