The Calvin University Knights ACHA D3 Hockey Team fell to the Hope College Dutchmen 9-1 on Saturday night.
In the first period the Dutchmen took control of the game right away scoring three unanswered goals. The Knights fought back hard but could not find the back of the net.
The first period concluded with the Dutchmen leading the Knights 3-0.
In the second period the Dutchmen once again dominated the game scoring four more unanswered goals to extend their lead to 7-0.
The second period concluded with the Knights trailing 7-0.
In the third period the Dutchmen once again struck first scoring just a minute in. The Knights finally got on the board with two minutes left to go with a goal from Hayden Heys with the assist from Mitchell Niesar. The Dutchmen then added one more goal right at the final buzzer of the third.
The game concluded with the Dutchmen of Hope College coming out victorious over the Knights of Calvin University 9-1.
The Knights return to action on December 7th as they take on Notre Dame.
