The Calvin University Knights ACHA D3 Hockey Team fell to the Hope College Dutchmen 8-2 on Friday night.

In the first period the Knights got on the board first, scoring just 20 seconds into the game. The goal came from Hayden Heys with the assists from Luis Mendoza and Mitchell Niesar. Two minutes later the Dutchmen tied the game at 1-1. About six minutes later the Dutchmen took the lead from the Knights. 

The first period concluded with the Dutchmen leading the Knights 2-1. 

In the second period the Dutchmen scored two unanswered goals early to take a 4-1 lead. At about the seven minute mark the Knights struck back with a goal from Heys with the assists from Jake Oakes and Ben Morse. With about a minute to go the Dutchmen added another goal to their lead. 

The second period concluded with the Dutchmen leading the Knights 5-2.

In the third period the Dutchmen sealed the game scoring three unanswered goals. 

The game concluded with the Dutchmen coming out on top over the Knights 8-2.
