The Calvin University Knights D3 Hockey Team fell to the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils 2-1 on Friday night.
In the first period the Knights came out strong and quickly got the first goal of the game just two minutes in with a goal from Mitchell Niesar and the assists from Jake Oakes and Ben Morse. The Blue Devils pushed back hard and got a goal of their own with about seven minutes left to go in the period.
The first period concluded with the game tied 1-1.
In the second period the Blue Devils broke the tie as they added another goal to the scoreboard. The Knights fought back hard but could not find the back of the net.
The second period concluded with the Blue Devils leading the Knights 2-1.
In the third period action went back and forth between both teams, but neither team could find a way to score.
The game concluded with a Blue Devils victory over the Knights 2-1.
Knights Goaltender Liam Austin had a strong game with 30 saves on the night.
