Coach Anne Williamson comes to us with a host of diving experience. Williamson has previous collegiate coaching experience at Michigan State University (1994-1997). In 2017 she developed the newly created diving program at Davenport University and coached there until 2020. She has been at Calvin University since August 2020.
Coach Anne is the Club Director and Lead Coach at Legacy Diving West (2015-present). She has been a USA diving certified head coach since 2004, and is a member coach at AAU Diving. She is co-owner of the Newton Aerial Academy which hosts dryland diving.
She is the 2015 recipient of the Michigan Inter-Scholastic Swim Coaches Association’s Bruce Harlan Award and 8 time winner of the MISCA Women's or Men's Diving Coach of the Year. She has lead her high school divers to 7 State Champion titles in 15 years. In one of those years, her divers placed 1st, 2nd, 4th, 8th, 12th, and 16th earning 68 points in that single event at State. Her club divers have earned several top places at JO Nationals and 6 gold medals at AAU Nationals. She has numerous high school and AAU All Americans.
As a diver, Anne was a full scholarship athlete at the University of Southern California and dove at Senior Nationals with Olympians Greg Louganis, Mark Lenzi, Wendy Williams, and Julie Farrell-Ovenhouse.
Per Anne, she gets her best advice from her husband, Rhett, and her grey hair from her four children, Grant, Paul, Audrey, and Troy.
