Sam Bernier

Sam Bernier is an assistant athletics trainer at Calvin University. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with his undergraduate degree in athletic training in the spring of 2018.  He completed his graduate degree as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in 2020 in health administration from Grand Valley State University.

As an undergraduate student, he completed five clinical rotations in undergrad with various sports and schools: East Kentwood High School, GVSU track and field, Grandville High School, and Davenport University, with his final rotation taking place at Clemson University with its track and field team.  In graduate school, he primarily worked as an athletics trainer with track and field and cross country but spent time with nearly all varsity sports, including football and men's basketball.

Bernier grew up in Romeo, Michigan. His hobbies include biking, reading, fishing, and camping.
