The Calvin ACHA Division III hockey team is headed into postseason play as the top ranked team in the country. The Knights received the No. 1 ranking in the ACHA DIII Top 25 poll released earlier this morning.

Led by head coach Austin Huizenga, Calvin is currently 16-3-1 on the season and is preparing for Midwest Collegiate Hockey Conference Tournament play tomorrow at the Patterson Ice Center.

The Knights are 8-1-1 against teams currently ranked in the ACHA Division III Top 25 poll, owning victories over current No. 7 Grand Valley State, No. 17 Michigan State, No. 8 Northwood and No. 10 Lawrence Tech.

The Knights are coming off a 5-0 win at ACHA Division II Adrian last weekend.

Calvin will face an opponent yet to be determined Saturday afternoon in the MCHC Tournament at 2:30 p.m. at the Patterson Ice Center.
