GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has recognized teams in the 2024-25 MIAA Team GPA Award list. This award, which has been present for the last 27 years, recognizes conference athletic teams for the performance in the classroom of a 3.3 cumulative GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale). During the 2024-25 school year, 16 of Calvin's 22 varsity athletics teams that competed in the MIAA achieved this distinction.
Ten of Calvin's (MIAA) women's teams received the MIAA Team GPA Award while six of the men's teams also achieved the feat.
CALVIN MIAA TEAM GPA AWARD RECIPIENTS FOR 2024-25
- Women's Cross Country (3.83 GPA) - Receives the award for the 27th consecutive year while placing fourth on the MIAA list. Continues to be one of two teams - along with the Hope women's cross-country team - to receive the award all 27 years it has been present.
- Women's Tennis (3.69) - Receives the award for the 11th consecutive year.
- Women's Outdoor Track & Field (3.69) - Receives the award for 18th consecutive year.
- Women's Indoor Track & Field (3.62) - Receives the award for the 9th consecutive year.
- Men's Cross Country (3.60) - Receives the award for the 19th time in program history.
- Women's Swim & Dive (3.59) - Receives the award for 18th time in program history and 12th consecutive year.
- Women's Basketball (3.56) - Receives the award for 19th time in program history.
- Women's Soccer (3.54) - Receives the award for the 13th consecutive year and 18th time in program history.
- Women's Volleyball (3.48) - Receives the award for the 19th consecutive year and 23rd time in program history.
- Softball (3.47) - Receives the award for the 7th consecutive year and 12th time in program history.
- Men's Outdoor Track & Field (3.41) - Receives the award for the 9th straight year.
- Women's Lacrosse (3.39) - Receives the award for the 6th straight year and 8th time in program history.
- Men's Basketball (3.34) - Receives the award for the eighth time in program history.
- Men's Golf (3.33) - Receives the award for the 8th time in program history.
- Men's Soccer (3.33) - Recieves the award for the 3rd time in program history.
