KALAMAZOO Mich.- The Calvin ACHA division 3 men's hockey team won 12-2 on the road against Western Michigan University. The 15th ranked Knights are now 7-4 on the year.

The Knights scored 4 goals in the first period.
Josiah Harsh scored from
Ian Schweigert,
Christopher Bebelos scored two goals, and
Brock Hearth also scored from
Kevin Patterson and
Tomas Postal.

The Knights scored 5 more goals in the 2nd period to put them up 9-1. Western scored a single goal in the 2nd period.
Sergey Yakunin scored a pair for the Knights and
Owen Duiker,
Gabriel Sova, and
Ian Schweigert also got in on the action.

Calvin put 3 additional goals past the Western defense, while Western managed to score its 2nd and final goal of the game.Â
COACHES COMMENT: "Our guys came out ready to go," said Calvin head coach Austin Huizenga. "They gave good effort and focus and were ready to take care of business."

NEXT UP: Calvin looks to complete the sweep against Western Michigan University again on Saturday night, November 11 at 7:30 PM. It will be a home game for the Knights and will be at Eagles Ice Arena in Grand Rapids Michigan.
