The Calvin ACHA D3 hockey team split a weekend series with Michigan State University.
On Friday, Calvin defeated Michigan State 4-2 in a game played at Michigan State. The Knights led 2-1 after one period of play and outscored the host Spartans by a 2-1 score over the final two periods to pick up the win.

Joe Lugge had the first two goals for the Knights.
Owen Duiker had the final two goals for the Knights.
"I was happy with how we played," said Calvin head coach Austin Huizenga after Friday's game. "We competed well and were able to finish scoring chances."
On Saturday afternoon, Michigan State turned the tables on the Knights, defeating Calvin 4-1.
Myles Radersma had Calvin's lone goal.
Calvin is now 6-4-0 on the season.
"I was happy with our work ethic tonight," said Huizenga after the Saturday contest. "Our guys were ready to work hard. Our attention to detail hurt us tonight. I'm looking forward to a couple of weeks of practice while preparing for our next opponent."
Calvin returns to action November 10 and 11 with a series with Western Michigan. The Knights will travel to Western Michigan on November 10 at 8:45 p.m. and then return home to host the Broncos on November 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Eagles Ice Center.
