The Calvin University Knights ACHA D3 Hockey Team fell to the Michigan State Spartans 5-1 on Friday night.

In the first period the Knights got on the board first scoring a goal with six minutes left in the period. The goal came from Jon Hull with the assist from Brandon Turcotte and Avery Anderson. The Spartans tied the game at one with about a minute and a half to go in the opening frame.

The first period concluded with the game tied at 1-1.

In the second period the Spartans pulled away from the Knights scoring two unanswered goals. The Knights fought back hard but could not find the back of the net.

The second period concluded with the Spartans leading the Knights 3-1.

In the third period the Spartans sealed the deal by adding two more goals to extend their lead to 5-1. The Knights once again fought back hard but came up short.

The game concluded with the Spartans coming out on top over the Knights 5-1.
