Head coach Brian Diemer stated, "Michelle Koetje ran a great race That was a huge race for her. She mapped out yesterday where she needed to start and she did just about exactly that. She ran strong the whole way and is becoming a good lead runner for us. We had a nice finishing pack. Our 5-6-7 runners all came in together. That was nice to see happen I like that with our depth but we have a lot of work to do yet. We don't have many races on our schedule but the races we do have are important races. These things have to mean something. Have to make some good steps and progress. That's happening. Now we have a nice break in our schedule. We have three weeks to do some specific training. I am excited about that opportunity and building towards our next race."
The Knights return to action Friday October 4th as they compete in the Notre Dame Invitational at 3:15 p.m.
