GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Calvin College women's tennis team has received 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic honors, as announced by the organization.
In addition, four members of its 2019 squad received ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
In order to qualify for ITA All-Academic honors, a team must hold a minimum GPA of 3.20. The Knights finished the year with a combined team GPA of 3.451.
In order to qualify for ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, an individual must have had at least a 3.50 GPA during the 2018-19 academic year. junior Brittney Statema and freshmen Grace Brown, Maya Klopfenstein and Maria Poortenga all qualified this year.
The Knights finished the 2018-19 season with a fourth place finish in the MIAA at 5-3, and posted a 14-7 overall record.
