Calvin Women's Soccer Receives 2018-19 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

For the fifth time in the last six years, the Calvin women's soccer team has received the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year.

The Calvin women's soccer team recorded a team grade point average of 3.472 for the 2018-19 academic year.

Under the direction of head coach Emily Ottenhoff, Calvin's 2018 squad finished 10-5-3 overall and reached the MIAA Tournament semifinals.

The Calvin women's soccer team is one of 646 (women's) teams that were recognized with the award across the NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA levels.

The Calvin men's team also received the award. Calvin University is one of 255 schools nationwide that had both their men's and women's programs recognized with the award.
