Calvin Women's Golf Takes Fifth at MIAA Jamboree - Maintains Fourth Place Spot in Overall Team Standings

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Calvin women's golf team took fifth at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Olivet at the Medalist Golf Club Thursday afternoon.

The Knights posted a team score of 348 strokes.

Heading into the final 36 holes of competition of the MIAA season, the Knights rest in fourth place in the overall team standings, 12 strokes ahead of fifth place Trine and 18 strokes back of Hope and 20 strokes behind second place Olivet.

Sophomore Emma Dykhouse (Byron Center, Mich./South Christian HS) and freshman Jericha Sharphorn (Hudsonville, Mich.Hudsonville HS) had rounds of 85 to lead the Knights.

Juniors Linnea McDonnough (Pentwater, Mich./Pentwater HS) and Meredith Bult (Wheaton, Il./Wheaton Academy) and sophomore Kaylee Hirschman (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge HS) had rounds of 89.

Calvin will now break until October 11 and 12 when it competes at the 36-hole MIAA Fall Tournament at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek, Michigan.
