Calvin Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at Battle of the Border

Bristol, WI. – The Calvin women's Golf team finished in sixth place at the Battle of the Border on Saturday afternoon at Bristol Oaks Golf Club. 

Out of a thirteen-team spread, the Knights recorded a team score of 343 for their Saturday round to total 690 strokes on the weekend to claim their sixth-place finish. 

Leading the Knights on the weekend was sophomore Emma Dykhouse (Byron Center, Mich. / South Christian) with two-day total of 169 strokes (80-89).

Sophomore Kaylee Hirschman (Grand Ledge, Mich. / Grand Ledge) recorded an overall total of 174 (87-87). Also recording a total of 174 (91-83) was junior Linnea McDonnough (Pentwater, Mich. / Pentwater). One stroke behind was freshman Jericha Scharphorn (Hudsonville, Mich. / Hudsonville)with a score of 175 (91-84).

Rounding out the scoring for the Knights was junior Meredith Bult (Wheaton, IL. / Wheaton Academy) with a total of 184 (89-95). 

The Knights return to action next weekend as they compete in the Olivet Invitational at the Medalist Golf Club. Tee off will be at 2 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
