Calvin Women's Golf Places Seventh at MIAA Jamboree #4
ADRIAN, Mich. - The Calvin women's golf team placed seventh at MIAA Jamboree #4 on Saturday with a team score of 369 strokes.
Saturday's MIAA Jamboree was hosted by Adrian College at the Lenawee Country Club.
Calvin remains in seventh place in the overall team standings and despite finishing in seventh, remains just 15 strokes back of sixth place Albion.
Freshman Linnea McDonough (Pentwater, Mich./Pentwater HS) came up with a season-best round of 85 to finish tied for eighth individually. The round marked the second consecutive season-best effort for McDonough as she fired a round of 89 on Wednesday in an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Calvin at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Club.
Junior Nicole VanderYacht (Kentwood, Mich./South Christian HS) and sophomore Jessica Zylstra (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian HS) had rounds of 92. 
Junior Katy Hamilton (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Catholic Central HS) had a score of 100 and senior Gen Best (Brighton, Mich./Brighton HS) a round of 105.
Freshman Amanda Scholten (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian HS) also had a round of 103, competing individually for the Knights.
Saint Mary's took first place on Saturday with a team score of 324 strokes. The Belles now lead in the MIAA overall team standings by 13 strokes.
Summer Stillson of Saint Mary's was the tournament medalist on Saturday with a round of 75.
