Calvin Men's Cross Country Development Squad Takes 10th at Jayhawk Invitational

MUSKEGON, Mich. - The Calvin men's development cross country team placed 10th at the Jayhawk Invitational hosted by Muskegon Community College on Friday, posting a team score of 286 points.

Sophomore Charlie Kornoelje (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) led the way for the Knights by placing 31st individually with an 8K time of 25:53 that was a career-best by 40 seconds.

Freshman William Terpstra (Lombard, Il./Timothy Christian HS) was 70th with a time of 26:55.

Freshman Morrison Ismond (Lowell, Mich./Lowell HS) was 80th in 27:15.

Junior Ryan VanAppeldorn (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian HS) placed 99th in 27:49 while freshman Nate Klaasen (Jenison, Mich./Unity Christian HS) was 105th in 27:56.

Eastern Michigan took first place in the team standings with 23 points.
