Calvin Men's Cross Country Development Team Takes Fourth at Lansing CC Invite

LANSING, Mich. - The Calvin men's cross country development squad took fourth at the Lansing Community College Invitational on Friday with a team score of 130 points.

Calvin was led by freshman Ryan Vreeke (Lakewood, Ca./Valley Christian HS) who took 18th individually with a career-best time of 26:23. Sophomore Charlie Kornoelje (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) was 20th in 26:31.

Freshman Morrison Ismond (Lowell, Mich./Lowell HS) was 29th in 26:31 and freshman William Terpstra (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) 43rd in 27:13.

Junior Ryan VanAppeldorn (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian HS) was 84th (28:08) and freshman Nate Klaasen (Jenison, Mich./Unity Christian HS) 104th (28:35).

Senior Jim VanDyke (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) was 129th (29:11) and junior Fredrick McWain (Grand Rapids, Mich./Catholic Central HS) 149th (29:57).

Michigan Dearborn took home the first place team trophy with 65 points.
