Calvin Men's Cross Country Development Squad Takes Fifth at GRCC Invitational

CALEDONIA, Mich. - The Calvin men's Development squad placed fifth at the Grand Rapids Community College Invitational on Saturday with 143 points.

The race was held at Prairie Wolf Park.

Junior Jason Klaasen (Jenison, Mich./Unity Christian HS) was Calvin's top finisher, placing 16th with a time of 25:14 on the 8K course. Freshman Ryan Vreeke (Lakewood, Ca./Valley Christian HS) was next for the Knights, placing 21st in a time of 25:15.

Freshman Morrison Ismond (Lowell, Mich./Lowell HS) was 33rd (25:39), Sophomore Charlie Kornoelje (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) was 43rd (25:52), freshman William Terpstra (Lombard, Il./Timothy Christian HS) was 45th (25:53), freshman Nathan Klaasen (Jenison, Mich./Unity Christian HS) 71st (26:42), junior Fredrick McWain (Grand Rapids, Mich./Catholic Central HS) 73rd (26:45) and junior Ryan VanAppeldorn (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian HS) 91st (27:16).

Aquinas took first place as a team with 41 points.
