Calvin Men's Track and Field Lands Five on USTFCCCA Division III Great Lakes All-Region Team
Five members of the Calvin men's track and field team have received Great Lakes All-Region honors as named by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.

Those five individuals are seniors Ethan Valentine, Noah Buteyn and Andrew Philipose, and juniors James Jeninga and Luke Peterson.

In order to receive all-region accolades, individuals needed to be ranked in the top five of their respective event on the NCAA III performance list.

Valentine is from Mason, Ohio. He is a graduate of William Mason High School. He had the second-best time in the Great Lakes Region in the 400 meters this winter with a time of 48.33. In addition, he had the fourth-best time in the 800 meters (1:55.03). He was also a part of Calvin's 4x400 meter relay that had a time of 3:19.54 that ranked third in the Great Lakes Region.  
 
Philipose is from Mount Prospect, Illinois. He is a graduate of John Hersey High School. He had the fourth-best time in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:28.50.

Buteyn hails from Grand Rapids. He is a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School. He was part of Calvin'x 4x400 meter relay team that ranked third in the Great Lakes Region. 

Jeninga is from Brookfield, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of Milwaukee Lutheran High School. Peterson is from Holland and is a graduate of Holland Christian High School. Jeninga and Peterson were both members of Calvin's 4x400 mete relay team that ranked third in the Great Lakes Region.

This past February, the Calvin men's track and field team captured its second consecutive MIAA Indoor Track and Field title, posting a first place team score of 173.5 points at the MIAA Championships.
