ADA, Oh. - Calvin recorded a 3-0 victory over Ohio Northern Saturday night. Saturday's match marked the final fixture of the two-day, four-team Ohio Northern Invitational. The Knights were the only team to post a 2-0-0 record at the tournament with Hope and Ohio Northern going 1-1-0 while Transylvania went 0-2-0.

Calvin (3-1-0) scored a pair of first half goals to take the early momentum.

The Knights grabbed a 1-0 lead 15:07 into the match as senior Dillon Weldy (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) corralled a loose ball and whipped in a shot from 20 yards out.

In the 20th minute, senior Hunter Olson (Canton, Mich./Canton HS) took a pass from sophomore Sam Twigg (Auckland, New Zealand HS) and cranked in a shot to give Calvin a 2-0 advantage.

In the 70th minute, Twigg blasted a shot from distance flush off the crossbar. Olson wisely followed the shot and was able to head in the rebound just inside the far post.

Calvin finished with a 15-9 shots at goal advantage. Junior Chris Morrish (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Stephen's HS) picked up two saves in goal for the Knights to record his first clean sheet of the season.
